HISTORY

In 1936, the late Naohei Ozawa, founder of Ozawa Bussan, opened a shop in Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo as a wholesaler of cooking oil. In 1948, the shop was reorganized as Ozawa Sho-ten and made great strides with the advances of the post-war energy industry. In 1970, the company name was changed to Ozawa & Company, Limited.

In the post-war era, the company sold petroleum products as a distributor for Mitsubishi Oil Co., Ltd. (now JX Nippon Oil & Energy Corporation). With the support of our many customers and business partners through Japan’s high economic growth period, the first and second crises and the collapse of the “bubble” economy, the company was able to commemorate its 75th year since its founding. During this time, Kadoya Sesame Mills Inc., a manufacturer of sesame oil, and ENEOS Frontier Co. Ltd., a petroleum company, split off from the company to become companies of their own.

With the enthusiasm fostered since our company’s founding and accumulated experience forming our foundation, we will pursue further management reforms and continue undertaking business activities that foster the trust and satisfaction of our customers.

1.　Sale, export/import, installation and repair of fluid transfer equipment, storage equipment, transportation equipment (such as elevators, conveyor belts, etc.), motor vehicle chemical products, motor vehicle maintenance equipment and audio equipment.

2.　Sale of materials used in construction, painting, electrical work, plumbing and civil engineering.

3.　Purchasing and sale of cars and car parts, supplies and accessories.

4.　Leasing of cars and motorcycles.

5.　General leasing.

6.　Property-casualty insurance agency work and insurance agency work based on the Automobile Accident Compensation Security Act.
